What Can Be Corrected?

• A website we matched to the wrong agency, or a website we missed.
• A phone number or email address that is not the one the agency’s website shows.
• A service area we misread, left out, or converted to the wrong county.
• An agency’s name, trade name, or franchise or independent label.
• The county we show an office in.

Most of what we show about an agency is read from its own website, so the surest fix for contact details and service area is to update the website. The next time we update the directory, we read the new version.

Can an Agency Ask to Be Removed?

• Contact details and service area. An agency can ask us to remove its phone number, email address, website link or service area, and we will remove them.
• The listing itself. The agency’s name, license number and active status come from the State’s public list. If an agency does not want to be listed, tell us why and we will consider the request. We cannot promise to remove an agency the State shows as actively licensed, because the purpose of this directory is to make the State’s licensed agencies easy to find.

If the problem is in the State’s own record, such as a license status, we can only repeat what the State shows. The State’s licensing office can correct its record, and the next update here will follow it.

How Do I Send a Correction or Removal Request?

We use what you send only to answer your request. See the privacy page for how it is handled. If you are writing for an agency, please use an email address at the agency’s own website so we can confirm who you are.
